Steve
Bridge has been taking 'FOOTYFOTOS' since 1981 with the view of capturing
the mood and atmosphere surrounding the game of football. In 1996 to
coincide with Euro'96 being staged in England, he mounted a successful
exhibition entitled 'All In The Beautiful Game' - a series of black
& white and colour images focussing on London football at all levels
of the game.
Using a documentary reportage approach, with an eye for humour and the quirky, he continues to work in this field. Winner of the second prize in a national photography competition in 1998 supported by the 'Evening Standard' (featured in the book of the same title 'Football Moods' - a photographic essay of football in all its moods), he was also one of three significant co-contributors in the book 'From Welling to Wembley' the same year documenting the triumph of Charlton Athletic F.C. in the play-off final for the Premiership at England's national stadium.
Having
a Bachelor of Arts Degree (1986), being in full membership of the National
Union of Journalists (NUJ), as well as the Society of Wedding and Portrait
Photographers (SWPP) and the British Professional Photographers' Association
(BPPA), Steve Bridge also brings his keen observational style for the
